Greetings from Salt Lake City!! Well, not really, we're back home at this point. But being the travelers that we are, that was last weekend. We are now back home safe and sound. We have been, how you say, a little bit of slacking on keeping up our blog. Its not that we've been so busy with everything else. No, its more like nothing has been going on. At least until last weekend when we went to Utah. But up until then its been quiet. Candace's sister Cathie, moved to Utah for bigger and better things. So she has been there for several weeks working without any of her things. So last weekend Candace and I went up with her dad, and other sister, Chelsea, along with a very big trailer loaded down. So off we went on our short little "vacation". We arrived on Saturday afternoon to a much cooler SLC then we would have expected in Arizona. So that was a very nice change for at least a few days. So we began the unloading process then went in and did our best to arrange the rooms that were suitable to at least us. It was a quiet evening after that with some dinner and of course a trip to Walmart for some Sunday food supplies. We had decided that while we were in town to go see some of the sites that were available to us on a Sunday. So we were up early and off to the newly renovated Tabernacle for Music and the Spoken Word. The extra cool part about that, was since we were with our "insider" Cathy, who works at the church office building we were able to park underneath the buildings right next to where the Apostles park. So that was a nice extra special treat. So a little shout out to Kathy for the extra in sites and fun weekend, Thank you!! After the spoken word we went over to the Joseph Smith Memorial building for Sacrament meeting. If you've never been to the building I would have to say that you make it a place to see. The architecture and the art deco that is inside of the building on the 20 foot ceilings is just incredible. The chapel is located a few floors up and is just incredible. I would have to say probably the nicest chapel that I have ever been in.
After sacrement meeting was over it was back to the house for some lunch and of course a nap. Once we were all well rested we were off to the Conference Center. Which is just an amazing building. It looks big from the outside, but then you get in and its just HUGE!!! Each floor seems like the ceilings are 30 feet tall and the craftsmanship is just amazing. The main seating area is something like 21,00 seats on 3 levels. It seems like the ceiling at the bottom was well over 100 feet high. They were setting up for conference in a few months. I guess it takes a few months just to set up everything. So that was fun to see that getting put together. We went floor by floor and then made it to the top of the center. Which has a stream that starts there and then there is about 5 waterfalls down the side of the building and then is a stream on the ground level that goes around the building. The roof allows for some great views of Temple square which is where the pictures here were taken from. The building is simple amazing to see first hand. It looks big on TV but actually seeing it first hand is truly an experience. The sheer size and just how nice it looks and all the finishing touches is worth the trip along. So if you haven't yet, you need to and should make it a priority to go and see. All in all it was a fantastic trip! We had a great time and enjoyed ourselves immensely. One of the best parts I think was the trip home, mainly because we flew. Sure beats that 12 hour drive!!

Finally a new post!!Salt Lake is fun to visit!! It's so gorgeous there...and you can pretty much guarantee it will be cooler than AZ!!
You're lucky you haven't had to be in sunny AZ for the heat advisories. What are Cathie's bigger and better plans? I haven't seen her since the good ol' days at ASU.
Hey thanks for the comment! I'm guessing you're Malissa's brother? Sounds like you had fun in Utah... it's always nice and refreshing to get out of the heat! Keep in touch and thanks for the music info. I think Prince rocks as well!
And can I just say how nice it is to have furniture?!
