Racing to the Doctor's

I was reminded of the Seinfeld episode where they go to pick up the car rental they reserved, but the company gave them all out and Jerry makes the joke about they know how to *make* a reservation, they just don't know how to *keep* the reservation.

Bryan and I went to the Obstetrician's this afternoon. As we pulled into our front-row parking spot, a lady and her daughter (who looked way too young to be going to the OBGYN in the first place) were walking up to the doctor's door. They saw us pulling into the parking spot that was obviously for the same doctor that they were going to, so they start hustling and trotting up to the door, like it's Disneyland and whoever gets there first gets served first. I'm pretty sure the Doctor knows how to *make* appointments and *keep* appointments.

You know, kids are hitting puberty crazy early these days. It could have been just gyn that she was there for, not the ob.

And really, isn't that our reaction everywhere else?

We saw the heartbeat in the ultrasound, and the odds of miscarrying at that point are down to only 5%, so it looks like we'll most likely be having a baby in November.

We're accepting suggestions for names if you've got any good ideas that you don't want to use yourselves.

I suggest Catherine. Or Seven.

Come up with a theme like Mom and Dad did.

We call dibs on L!

Mom and Dad didn't come up with a theme, though. And I've decided naming all your kids with the same initial just makes it harder to remember which name you need.

That is what was so great about Mom and Dad. It was totally coincidental that we all ended up with C names and in ABC order. So it made it cool, not nerdy. I just can't convince Bryan on the same initial, anyway.

And what if you have a lot of boys, and you wind up with kids named Francis or Felix or Filippe.

It took Dad's help to figure out how to leave a comment and now I can't remember what I was going to say.............

It was funny...
Oh, wait, dad remembers
How about Soda?

It makes me proud as a Librarian to have named you all in alphabetical order, but it was not a plan. I always wanted a Betsy... aren't you glad it didn't work out?
